Backend developer, Bursa

I'm a backend developer in Bursa, Türkiye. I write APIs with Java/Spring Boot, PHP and Node.js, then put them on a server with Docker and keep them running.

Right now I work at Biletara on payment and messaging infrastructure.

Click a node to route the request there.

Projects

From my graduation project to systems I built at work, these are the ones I put the most into.

Paty

A location-based app for pet adoption and lost pet posts

When

My role
The whole backend and the server setup

Users subscribe to an area. When a new post opens there, an event goes through RabbitMQ and Firebase pushes a notification to everyone in the same district. The notification in the image is exactly that flow.

Details
  • REST API in Spring Boot; RabbitMQ and the observer pattern for location-based subscriptions.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging for instant notifications to nearby users.
  • User photos on AWS S3, PostgreSQL running in Docker.
  • NGINX reverse proxy and SSL on a VPS; I handled every step from development to release.

Maze Solver

A tool that shows BFS, Dijkstra and A* step by step on a maze you draw

Maze Solver: a grid with walls drawn in, searching for a path between points A and B
When
June 2024
My role
Personal project

I wrote it to actually see what I had read about in algorithms classes. You draw walls with the mouse, pick an algorithm and watch which cells the search visits.

Details
  • BFS, Dijkstra and A* on the same grid, so they can be compared.
  • Grid size and walls are editable by the user.
  • Every step updates on screen live, in plain JavaScript with no libraries.
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS

Other work

  • Bricks Land

    Since April 2026

Company website and admin panel for a brick manufacturer

    1. Browser
    2. Regex router
    3. Controller
    4. PDO
    5. MySQL

A PHP MVC structure I wrote without a framework: a regex-based router, parameterized PDO queries and a session-based admin panel. The panel edits products, the gallery and per-page SEO fields with a Google preview; the contact form has IP-based rate limiting.

    • MySQL
    • PDO

  • WhatsApp messaging system

    Since 2024

A system at Biletara that lets businesses send WhatsApp messages through a REST API

    1. Client
    2. REST API
    3. MySQL trigger
    4. Scheduler
    5. WhatsApp API

Scheduled sending, a credit balance per customer, and a database that tracks message states with SQL triggers and procedures.

    1. Raspberry Pi
    2. WebSocket
    3. Node.js
    4. React panelMySQL

Built to notice devices that went down during power cuts. Data streams over WebSocket to a Node.js server, updates live in a React interface and is stored in MySQL for history.

Experience

  1. November 2024 – presentBursa

    Biletara

    Backend Developer

    • Integrated the Tami and Sipay payment systems.
    • Automated data sync and message sending through EDM, Biletall and WhatsApp API integrations.
    • Built the messaging system: dynamic WhatsApp messages over a REST API, scheduled sending and a credit system.
    • Designed the database and handled critical business rules with SQL triggers, procedures and functions.
    • Adapted older systems to current needs using framework-free PHP.
  2. January – February 2024Bursa

    Arnil-Net / Tıpplus

    Backend intern

    • Wrote REST APIs in Node.js and a middleware layer that validates requests.
    • Built backend services with Django and SQLite, and interface parts with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  3. June – July 2022Bursa

    APRA Engineering

    Software intern

    • Made internal data and reporting apps with Node.js, React and MySQL.
    • Received real-time data from Raspberry Pi devices over WebSocket (the IoT panel above).
    • Supported R-CNN object detection work in Python and JavaScript.

Location
Bursa, Türkiye

I studied Computer Engineering at Antalya Bilim University and graduated in 2024 with a 3.79 GPA, ranked third in my faculty and department.

At work I build backend systems in PHP; in my own projects I use Java and Spring Boot. What interests me most is system design, message queues, and getting an application onto a server and keeping it up. Outside work, most of my time goes to the gym.
